Taking the First Step
When you first visit Ireland Clinic of Chiropractic, we’ll need to gather a bit of information to help us get to know you better and determine whether you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care.
If chiropractic care is not the best option for your particular condition, we will promptly refer you to an appropriate licensed healthcare provider.
Once it’s determined that chiropractic is a good solution for you, we’ll invite you to sit down with one of our doctors to discuss your individual health care concerns.
Our chiropractic technician will perform a physical examination and take digital X-rays if needed, as prescribed by the attending chiropractor. We have digital X-ray technology onsite, so your results are available quickly, meaning no delay in your care.
You’ll then proceed to one of our treatment rooms, where together we can review your X-rays on a high-definition monitor. We’ll provide you with a preliminary idea of what your care plan will look like.
You’ll receive your first chiropractic adjustment and appropriate physical therapy to help you begin feeling relief right from the start. You’ll checkout and make plans for your second visit.
When You Return
Overnight, your doctor will evaluate all our findings, create your treatment plan and prepare a care packet which will contain important information about the plan for restoring and improving your health. You’ll receive:
- A CD with your full set of X-rays
- A laminated wallet card of spinal misalignments or biomechanical listings
- Reference charts with information about your skin, nerves, organs and vertebral subluxations
- Corrective home exercise manual
With this information, you can easily follow along as we review our findings and discuss your care with you. You’ll see what’s going to be involved in your care and about how long it might take. We’ll also give you corrective exercises to complement your care.
Finally, you’ll receive your chiropractic adjustment and therapy, if appropriate. We’ll do follow up exams to monitor your progress and make adjustments to your care plan as necessary.
